CHRISTINE GAGNÉ

I am a multidisciplinary artist born in Montreal in 1966 and I graduated in fashion design from LaSalle College.
I had a career in the fashion industry in Los Angeles for 9 years before starting my artistic career in sculpture, which I continued back home in Quebec, Canada.
My love for illustration has always been present in me and it is only in the recent years, during the long periods of introspection produced by the isolation of the Covid pandemic that I decided to showcase my artistic productions in digital illustrations and original paintings.
Like for all my creations, whether in sculpture or illustration, my subjects consist of female subjects rendered in a figurative style radiating finesse and movement. I like to enhance the beauty, strength and feminine force while harmonizing it with a timeless, folkloric or mythical context.
Inducted as a Master in Fine Arts by the International Academy of Fine Arts of Quebec, Canada and recipient of a silver medal from the Académie Art, Science et Lettres of Paris in 2017, I also hold numerous distinctions in Canada, Europe and the United States.
